Day 01 Cochin – Kumarakom

Arrive Cochin airport and transfer to your hotel at the edge of the backwaters Nelpura Heritage Homestay. Upon arrival brief description on the surrounding, cruise by canoe through the village to see the famous Moncompu Bhagavathi Temple. Also visit an old house of Brahmin Community. Back to the house by 18.00 Hrs. Join the family at 19.30 Hrs for dinner. The family can talk on various topics like Culture, Agriculture, Marriages, Food, and Ayurveda etc. depending on the interest of the guest. Village Walk: you have opportunity to interact with local people and get to know Kerala rural life from close quarters. A visit to the 500-year-old temple in the village is an unforgettable event. Canoe Rides through small Canals: This trip along the shallow waterways of the village is exciting. Overnight stay in Homestay

Day 02 Kumarakom

After breakfast tour of the area by tuk tuk locally called autoriksha or on a bicycle (optional) to visit Pulincunnoo St. Mary’s Forine Church, local school, coconut processing centre etc. Return back to home for lunch. After lunch guests are free to relax at the house or try your luck in fishing.

Cycling ride along the canopied banks of the lake is a refreshing experience along the narrow strips running through the lush paddy fields, to provide the guests an opportunity to feel the pulse of the Kerala countryside.Overnight stay in Homestay

Day 03 Kumarakom – Backwater Cruise

Transfer to the landing stage and installation on board a traditional boat sampan to discover Kerala in the labyrinth of its fascinating canals which intertwine between land and sea. Stopping during navigation for the visit of villages, temples and stroll in the rice fields where time seems to have stopped. Lunch& dinner on board. Overnight in air condition house boat

Day 04 Backwater –Cochin 70 kms/1.30 hrs

End of the cruise on the magical backwaters fringed with rice and coconut palms in the morning. After breakfast drive to Cochin, rich city of its historical past, former Portuguese and then Dutch counter, built on a group of islands and narrow peninsulas. Cochin is the faithful reflection of the cultural mosaic of Kerala. Overnight stay in Cochin

Day 05 Cochin

Kochi is the only place in the country where you can see Portuguese Churches, a Jewish Synagogue, Hindu Temples, and Dutch Architecture& Mosque nearly side by Side. Today visit to old spice market at Mattancherry, the antique shops on Jew’s street, The Synagogue, The Dutch palace and of course St. Francis Church . This evening a memorable experience in any journey in Kerala is a Boat Trip along the Palm Fringed Lakes & Backwaters of the Area, as we sail along the shady canals we see cantilevered Chinese fishing nets. Later we attend the performance of the Kathakali, one of India's most famous Classical dances. Overnight stay in Cochin

Day 06 Cochin – Cheruthuruty – Palakkad 96 kms

After breakfast departure for Cheruthuruty visit to dedicated to the prestigious school of Kalamandalam, the first institution that teaches traditional arts to resident students destined to devote their lives to their art: Kathakali, drama whose themes are taken from the great Indian epics, and Koodyattam. Gestures, costumes and make-up are particularly sophisticated. You attend Mohiniyaattam exclusively danced by women, and percussion. The center is closed on Saturday and Sunday, during the New Year period, from 20 March to the end of May, and during the Poonam festival in September). Our drive continuation to Palakkad and its laughing landscapes of rice paddies and bamboo forests. Installation in an ancestral house built in 1794 in the purest keralais style. Overnight stay

Day 07 Palakkad – Coonoor 127 kms/3.30 hrs

After breakfast drive to Coonoor, upon arrival check in hotel The Club House by Tranquilitea.
Afternoon visit to Ketti is a large valley in the Nilgiris and a town as well. It is one the most beautiful sightseeing places in Ooty. Ketti Valley is home to several tribes,such as Todas and Badagas. These tribal people are experts in cultivating fresh vegetables and fruits in the valley. There are over 14 villages in this valley that belong to the tribes of Badagas

Ketti valley is a heaven for nature lovers and photographers. It is one of the most visited tourist sites of Ooty. It offers one of the best views of the valley. Nature lovers, adventurists, experience seekers and even casual travelers will love the view from the Ketti valley viewpoint. There is also a telescope room to get a closer view of the valley and surroundings. Overnight stay in Coonoor

Day 08 Coonoor

After breakfast Car and driver are at your disposal for the visit of the surroundings, but it is especially the walking on foot outside the city that will entice you, and the train trip"Heritage Toy Train" of duration of two hours. Overnight stay in Coonoor

Day 09 Coonoor – Mysore 145 kms/ 4 hrs

After breakfast drive to Mysore former capital of Karnataka. Today your tour of Mysore visits includes to City Palace it is one of the largest and majestic palaces of this type in India. Built in 1912, this Indo-Saracen palace has, among other things, a sculpted silver door, a solid gold throne and a gallery of delicate paintings. Chamundi Hill, and the colorful and aromatic spice markets. At Chamundi Hill, you will find Nandi, a monolithic image of Shiva's Bull, which is always garlanded with flowers and held in high esteem by Hindus. Overnight stay

Day 10 Mysore

After breakfast excursion to village Somnathpur 35 kms east is famous for its 13th century Hoysala Temple. The Temple is in excellent condition, has frescoed exteriors depicting episodes from the epics,Our drive continued to the ruins of Srirangapatnam (closed on Friday), capital of Tipu Sultan in the eighteenth century. In the afternoon, visit the extravagant maharaja palace and stroll through the flower and vegetable market. Overnight stay in Mysore

Day 11 Mysore –Hassan

In the morning drive to Hassan, en route visiting Belur - This quaint hamlet is 30 kms from Hassan-is located on the bank of the river Yagachi. It was once the capital of Hoysala Enpire, Today unforgettable for its exquisite temples.

Halebid - is 27 kms north-west of Hassan and 17 kms east of Belur. The temples of Halebid - like those of Belur - bear mute testimony to the rich, culture heritage of Karnataka, which dates back to 13th century during Hoysala Dynasty, and Hoysaleswara Temple at Halebid. Day 12 Hassan – Bangalore
