Day 01   Arrival at Cochin

You arrive at Cochin Airport, to be whisked away to The Brunton Boatyard Hotel is a looking-glass held up to this era. It's our attempt to capture the soul of a colorful and romantic age that remains one of history's most charming conjuring tricks, nurtured by Kerala's tolerant spirit

Kochi is the only place in the country where you can see Portuguese Churches, a Jewish Synagogue, Hindu Temples, and Dutch Architecture & Mosque nearly side by Side. Today visit to old spice market at Mattancherry, the atique shops on Jew’s street, The Synagogue, The Dutch palace and of course St. Francis Church . This evening a memorable experience in any journey in Kerala is a Boat Trip along the Palm Fringed Lakes & Backwaters of the Area, as we sail along the shady canals we see cantilevered Chinese fishing nets. Later we attend the performance of the Kathakali, one of India's most famous Classical dances. Overnight stay at Burton Boat yard

Day 02   Cochin -Periyar 192 kms / 4 hrs

We leave Cochin & drive to a tranquil hill retreat, the Spice Village Resort is our tip of the hat to this wisdom. A timeless experience in ecological living, recreated for the modern traveler. Along the way we pass through tea, cinnamon, and clove & cardamom plantations - beautiful to see and smell! Our hotel is set in a spice garden & has been modeled after that tribal dwelling of the area; each cottage has a thatched roof & a deep, airy verandah. This evening we visit the nearby Periyar Game Sanctuary; game viewing here is like no other safari experience. Be sure to have plenty of Films on hand! Overnight stay at the spice village

Day 03 Periyar – Alleppey 164 kms / 4 hrs

After breakfast transfer to Alleppey to meet your way own floating hotel in the famous backwaters. Kettuvalam (An Authentic Kerala Houseboat) - the moving masterpiece, have been plying the inland waterways of southwest India for untold centuries and originally used as cargo rice boats. The fully furnished and palm covered boats (single & double) bedrooms with attached bath, sit out, kitchen and living room made of traditional wood. Traditional vegetarian and non-vegetarian Kerala cuisines are served. A journey through the backwaters of Kerala which offer one of the world’s truly unforgettable experiences, myriad network of silent lagoons, freshwater river, and hyacinth covered canals that wind their way through colorful corridors of forests, palms and fruit trees. A canoe expedition via an intricate network of canals, through backwater villages where daily continues unaltered, as it has for centuries. You will see lush palm groves and stretches of rice fields. Overnight stay House Boat.

Day 04 Alleppey – Kumarakom

After breakfast we transfer to Fittingly, Coconut Lagoon can be reached only over the water. The great Vembanad Lake, an inland sea that stretches clear across central Kerala, forms a breeze-laden watery highway. Your coach transfer happens via a generously clunky wooden boat with a little inboard motor (so as not to disturb the fishes). And the lobby, when you arrive, turns out to be a reconstructed 19th century mansion with a stone jetty attached. Your boat putters sedately through a narrow canal, its banks covered with flowers. Tiled-roof bungalows peer through the foliage. And with a reviving coconut cocktail in one hand, you step off the boat and up to the reception desk, all ready to check in.

Evening here is the best time of the day, consume yourself on a sunset cruise on the Vembanad Lake, adrift to a flute accompaniment or just sit on the banks of the mighty lake and delve into a desultory contemplation. Also visit to the nearby village, will give you a sneak-peak into the daily life of a villager, cooking demonstration by Chef later in the afternoon followed by an Ayurvedic massage will rejuvenate your senses.  Leisurely sessions of Yoga will take away the stress and let you relax. Overnight stay in Kumarakom backwater resort

Day 05 Kumarakom – Marari Beach

After breakfast on board drive to Marari en route visit to Rani John's house to discover the project for the preservation of the historical heritage of Alleppey. Presentation of the city and its architecture in a traditional house, walk in the spice market, then along the open channel of a mosque, a Jain temple and an Anglican church, testimony to the great openness and tolerance of Kerala with regard to religions. Visit to a co-operative in a former British factory where traditional methods of weaving coir fiber are still being applied. Return to the traditional residence for an on-site lunch. Transfer to Mararikulam, and set up at your beachfront resort and close to fishing villages.
