Cochin - Munnar - Thekkady - Alleppey - Kovalam- Trivandrum

Day 1 Cochin
Arrive at Cochin airport - meet & greet by presentable representative of Recreation Travels with special welcome.

Cochin - Capital oasis state of Kerala & on to the Malabar Coats & Kochi, one of the India's most colorful cities. Kochi is the only place in the country where you can see Portuguese Churches, a Jewish Synagogue, Hindu Temples, and Dutch Architecture & Mosque nearly side by side by side by side. Later we attend the performance of the Kathkali, one of India's most famous Classical dances. Overnight stay.

Day 2 Cochin - Munnar (130 kms)
After breakfast drive to Munnar. Upon arrival check in hotel.
Munnar - is situated at the confluence of three mountains streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni & Kundala. Munnar is a famous tea plantation; picture book towns, winding lanes and holiday facilities make this a popular hill station. Later visit to Mattupetty. It is famous for its highly specialized Dairy Farm - the indo Swiss livestock project. Over a hundred verities of high yielding cattle are reared here. This sprawling Kundala tea plantations and the Kundala Lake are the other attraction in the vicinity. Overnight stay at Munnar.

Day 3 Munnar - Thekkady (Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary) (100 kms)
We leave Munnar & drive to a tranquil hill retreat, the Spice Village. Along the way we pass through Tea, Cinnamon, Clove & Cardamom Plantations - Beautiful to see & smell! This evening we visit the nearby Periyar Game Sanctuary; game-viewing hare is like no other Safari Experience. We simply relax in a motor Launch & sail along as herds of Elephant & bison come into view. During the dry season Tigers & Panthers come down to Lakeshore for drink - be sure plenty of films on hands!

Day 4 Thekkady
Early this morning we enjoy another Safari Cruise in Periyar Game Sanctuary. Remainder of the time is free to spend as you like or walk with the Naturalist to see the Natural Environment of Jungle. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 5 Thekkady - Alleppey (164 kms)
After breakfast transfer to Alleppey to meet your way own floating hotel in the famous backwaters.

Kettuvalam (An Authentic Kerala Houseboat) - the moving master piece, have been plying the inland waterways of southwest India for untold centuries and originally used as cargo rice boats. The fully furnished and palm covered boats (single & double) bedrooms with attached bath, sit out, kitchen and living room made of traditional wood. In each houseboat, there are 3 men staff (crew), comprising a cook and two well trained punters throughout the cruise. Punters stand on each end of the boat for punting and directing the boat. Kerosene-lit lamps along will be available for light and mosquito nets will be provided. Traditional vegetarian and non-vegetarian Kerala cuisine are served. A journey through the backwaters of Kerala which offer one of the world's truly unforgettable experience, myriad network of silent lagoons, freshwater river, hyacinth covered canals that wind their way through colorful corridors of forests, palms and fruit trees. A canoe expedition via an intricate network of canals, through backwater villages where daily continues unaltered, as it has for centuries. You will see lusch palm groves and stretches of rice fields. Overnight stay.

Day 6 Alleppey - Kovalam(175 kms)
Today drive to Kovalam - an uncluttered beach of silvery sands fringed with rows of tall palms, a sheltered bay , a wide choice of water sports. Kovalam is the perfect place for a seaside holiday. Here your stay will be 3 nights. Overnight stay.

Day 7 Kovalam
Breakfast at hotel. One of your most vivid memories of Kovalam is of sitting on the deserted beach under a brilliant blue sky, relaxing with an Ice- Cold Bear. The time passes so effortlessly here, whether it's the magical powers of Sand, Sea & sun combinations of all thee. This image will certainly click with the thousands of Tourists of our regular Tourist who cannot live without visiting Kovalam, at least once every Winter Season.

Day 8 Kovalam - Trivandrum - Onwards Destination
After breakfast, drive to Trivandrum or Cochin to connect the flight for onwards destination.
