01 Arrive in Delhi · Special Traditional Welcome on Arrival Arrive Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport. Recreation Travel's representatives and the group's professional escorts meet at the airport. Depart for hotel by luxury air-conditioned buses. TRADITIONAL INDIAN WELCOME "Atithi Devo Bhava" - the Guest is God, says an old Indian adage. And that's how Recreation Travel treats guests, starting with a special welcome on their first arrival that brings to life this mystical and magical land. On arrival at the hotel, the group will be treated to a Traditional Indian Welcome. The guests will be welcomed and garlanded at the entrance of the hotel lobby by beautiful Indian girls in ethnic costumes, to be followed by Aarti (the girls carry silver trays containing an auspicious little oil lamp, lit as a gesture of respect and welcome to great guests) & application of Tikka (vermilion powder which is applied with the middle finger on the forehead of the guest). A special non-alcoholic welcome drink will be given to the guests Delhi stands as the capital of Modern India. Here you can see the mingling of the Old and New India, the ancient and the modern. Day 02 In Delhi · Full Day Old & New Delhi Tour Old Delhi was an ancient walled city. Mughal Emperor Shah Jehan in 1650 switched the Mughal capital from Agra to Delhi. Here you will see Red Fort, the most opulent Fort and Palace of the Mughal Empire. Also visit Raj Ghat, the memorial site of the Mahatma Gandhi; Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India. New Delhi was designed and built by the British in the 1920's-it's a city of wide boulevards impressive Government buildings, green parks and gardens. You will visit two monuments from Delhi's past - Humayun's Tomb and Qutub Minar. Your drive takes you along the ceremonial avenue, Rajghat, past the imposing India Gate and Parliament House. Day 03 Delhi - Varanasi · Fly to Varanasi · "aarti" Ceremony on River The Ganges Today after breakfast transfer to Domestic Airport to board the Flight 9W 723 at 10:40 hours. Arrive Varanasi at 11:50 hours. Upon arrival check in hotel. Varanasi is one of the oldest cities in the world. Also known as Benaras, this city has been the center of the Hindu faith for all of recorded history. Kashi, Benaras or Varanasi is the oldest living city in the History of Mankind. For more than two thousand years, people have been coming from different states of India to Varanasi with their cultural heritage & lineage. Evening watch "aarti" on the River Ganges. Ganga Aarti can watch at Dashawedh Ghat from 6:45 pm for One and Half hours. Day 04 Varanasi - Delhi - Agra · Sunrise Boat cruise on Holy River The Ganges · Kashi Vishwanath Temple · Fly to Delhi · Drive to Agra (200 kms / 41/2 hours) On our today sightseeing enjoy the sunrise Boat excursion on the Holy River Ganges to see the bathing Ghats and crimination sites. Watching people bathing and worshiping at the Ghats is one of the most extraordinary experiences of a visit to India. Also visit to Kashi Vishwanath Temple known as the Golden Temple; it is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Varanasi is said to be the point at which the first Jyotirlinga, the fiery pillar of light by which Shiva manifested his supremacy over other gods, broke through the earth's crust and flared towards the heavens. More than the Ghats and even the Ganga, the Shivalinga installed in the temple remains the devotional focus of Varanasi. It is open only to Hindus. After breakfast stroll along the bazaars near to hotel full of shops selling, among other things, the world famous Banaras silk. Pack your luggage before taking lunch. Transfer to Airport, which is 22 km away from your hotel to board the flight 9W 724 at 1440 hrs. Arrive Delhi at 1600 hrs. Upon arrival keep your luggage in Air conditioned buses and straight drive to Agra - The Mughal City. Dinner en-route at Kosi Restaurant. Kosi is comes after 2-½ hrs drive from Delhi. Upon arrival check-in hotel. Day 05 In Agra · Mughal City tour of Agra · Stand In Front of World Famous Taj Mahal Today morning visit the Agra Fort - built by the great Emperor Akbar in 1565 A.D., the fort is a masterpiece of design and construction. Within the fort are a number of exquisite buildings, including the Moti Masjid, Diwane-I-Am, Diwane-I-Khas and Musamman Burj, where the Emperor Shah Jahan died in imprisonment, besides Jahangir's Palace, Khaas Mahal and the Sheesh Mahal. Itmad-ud-Daulah built by Empress Noor Jehan in the memory of Her Father. Enjoy the Magnificent Taj Mahal - The Monument of Love in the warm glow of Sunset, which was built in 1630 by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as a tomb for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. Construction of the Taj Mahal began in 1631, and is believed to have taken 18 years to complete, with over 20,000 craftsmen working around the clock. The design and construction is said to be that of the legendary architect, Ustad Ahamad Lahori. Legend has it that once construction was completed, Shah Jehan had Lahori's hands cut off, and blinded, so he would never be able to duplicate the structure. As you drive through the city witness the local life and bazaars (markets) and the hustle bustle of everyday India. Agra is famous for Marble Items. Overnight stay at Agra. Day 06 Agra - Ranthambhore · En-route visit Fatehpur Sikri · Countryside drive to Ranthambhore (300 kms, 7 hrs. journey) After
breakfast proceed to Ranthambore. On the way you will visit Fatehpur
Sikri - the deserted red sandstone city that was built by Emperor Akbar
as his capital. Lunch En Route. Arrive Ranthambhore National Park in the
evening. Ranthambhore National Park provides a unique experience of life in the out doors. Spread over 392 sq. km., the Park comprises dry deciduous forests sprawling over an undulating terrain of the Aravalli and Vindhyan ranges. Exotic wildlife abounds and thrills the nature and wildlife lover. Ranthambhore Sanctuary has a large number of Tigers, Leopards, Caracals, Jungle Casts, Sambhar, Chital, Nilgai, Chinkara, Langoor, Wild Boars, Peafowl, etc. Three beautiful and artificial lakes i.e., Padam Talab, Rajbagh and Milak Talab & many anicuts are part of this Park inviting many migratory birds like Greyleg, Ruddy Shelduck, Pintails and many others. The park provides a rare and exquisite experience of seeing Nature and its flora and fauna at its best. Day 07 Ranthambhore - Jaipur · 3 hrs Canter drive in jungle · Drive to Jaipur (175 kms kms) Early morning wildlife spotting in an open canter safari bus with trained naturalist with Italian Guide is an unforgotten experience. After breakfast drive to Jaipur. Upon arrival check-in hotel. Remainder of the day is free for rest and relaxes. In the evening watch the Rajasthani Folk Music at the hotel. Day 08 In Jaipur · Amber Fort with Caparisoned Elephant Ride · Maharajas city tour · Rajasthani Gala Evening After early breakfast, Journey back in time at deserted 17th century fortress of Amber Fort. 11 Kms. from Jaipur, Amber Fort is a marvelous example of Rajput architecture with its terraces and ramparts reflected in the Maota Lake below. Go up the fort on the back of a gaily-caparisoned elephant true to the style of the Maharajas of the past. After lunch venture back into the city tour: Visit the City Palace Museum where you can see an imposing blend of traditional Rajasthani and Mughal Art. Also visit the awe inspiring Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) Day 09 Jaipur - Delhi · Drive to Delhi (259 kms /41/2 hours) · Farewell Dinner at Delhi · Fly to Onward by Air France After breakfast free for own activities / last minutes shopping. Later on pack your luggage.Our drive continues to Delhi. We join with fellow tour members at a departure dinner and say good-bye to this fascinating evening with sweet and memorable memories.Transfer to International airport to board the flight for onwards destination.
